Cooking with Kenwood

Spice up your winter with a taste of Morocco!

Join us this February for a deliciously fun evening—right from your own kitchen! We're teaming up with The Seasoned Farmhouse, a beloved Clintonville culinary school, for a virtual cooking class on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM.

About the Class

The class will be a one-hour, hands-on event led by Executive Chef Tricia Wheeler, founder of The Seasoned Farmhouse. Follow along as Tricia guides us through the preparation of a specially-curated, family-friendly weeknight dinner. While the menu is still being finalized, we will be exploring the flavors of Morocco. Our goal is to start nibbling by 6:45, but you may want to have an after-school snack if your littles normally eat earlier.  This will be a pork-free menu (See FAQ*).

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the menu for the class?
The menu is still being finalized but will focus on culinary tastes and techniques of Morocco. Every attempt will be made to use household staples and keep grocery costs low.

How long will the class last?
The event will last 1 hour (6:00–7:00 PM Eastern). The menu will include steps that can be completed before the event (up to two days in advance) for efficiency and to help put dinner on the table at a decent hour.

Is it kid-friendly or beginner-friendly?
The event will be suitable for most levels of experience in the kitchen. You should be able to safely use kitchen knives and utensils and safely operate the appliances in your kitchen.

Can I join if I live out of town?
Absolutely! This event is designed to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own kitchen—wherever it's located!

What if my internet cuts out during the class?
End-to-end instructions for preparing the meal will be provided so that you can still finish cooking your meal at home.

Will the class be recorded?
No, the event will not be recorded.

Do I need special equipment?
No. The goal of Peaceful Dinners is to be able to cook great food with the equipment found in most home kitchens. This event will require a Dutch oven or a heavy pot with a lid. If you're unsure if your equipment will be suitable, just ask! Email us at kenwoodptovicepres@gmail.com

When will I receive the cookbook and spice blend?
If you register by the stated deadlines (December 17 or January 26), you'll receive your materials before the event. Late registrations will receive materials after the event but can still participate in the live class.

* Is there a gluten-free or vegan/vegetarian option?
While the menu is not yet final, we will strive to be inclusive of differing dietary needs and preferences. More details will be shared as the menu is finalized.

Can I buy extra cookbooks or spice blends?
Of course—but this is best completed directly from The Seasoned Farmhouse's website.

Can I donate more than the ticket price?
Yes! Got a little extra to give? It helps us keep costs low for all families while doing more for our kids!

Can I gift a registration to someone else?
Yes! When placing your order, just make double-sure to let us know the email address of the recipient who will be joining via the Zoom link.

What if I can't attend live but still want to support the school?
You can definitely still register to support the event and the school! You will receive the menu, instructions, cookbook, and spice blend—everything you need to make the meal on your own time.

Pricing is per Zoom registration (please buy only one class per checkout).

You are welcome to congregate with others in your kitchen for this event, but each 'kitchen' should have its own registration.
